PRAGUE, Oct 16 (Reuters) - Czech nuclear power plant Temelin disconnected its 1,000 megawatt Unit 1 from the power grid early on Monday after the system detected moisture in a generator on the non-nuclear circuit, the company said.
A Temelin spokesman said in a statement the reactor's output was lowered to 37 percent of capacity but technicians would seek to reconnect it to the grid as soon as they have made repairs.
Temelin's Unit 2 has been shut for a regular fuel exchange.
The plant is the biggest asset of state-owned utility CEZ <CEZPsp.PR>. ((Reporting by Marek Petrus; Editing by Anthony Barker; Reuters Messaging: rm://marek.petrus.reuters.com@reuters.net; e-mail: prague.newsroom@reuters.com or marek.petrus@reuters.com; Tel: +420 224 190 477))
