TABLE-Czech Oct CPI down 0.5 pct m/m, 1.3 pct y/y

    Nov 8 (Reuters) - The Czech Statistical Bureau (CSU) 
released on Wednesday the following consumer price data for 
October: 
     
CONSUMER INFLATION             OCT 06       SEPT 06     OCT 05 
 pct change month/month         -0.5         -0.7         0.9 
 pct change year/year            1.3          2.7         2.6 
  
    NOTE: The statistics office added the average rate of 
inflation over the past 12 months was 2.7 percent. 
    Analysts polled by Reuters had predicted that month-on-month 
consumer prices dipped in October by 0.2 percent, which would 
have put the year-on-year inflation rate at 1.6 percent 
<CZ/ECON04> <CZ/ECON15>.
