BRATISLAVA, Nov 16 (Reuters) - Slovak European Union-norm inflation for October was below central bank forecasts, the bank (NBS) said in a statement on Thursday.
Consumer prices were flat month-on-month in October, bringing the EU-norm inflation rate to 3.1 percent year-on-year, the Statistics Office said earlier on Thursday.
The central bank said it expected state-regulated prices of natural gas and heating to rise in November. The cost of food should also rise, while fuel prices are expected to fall in November.
The NBS did not comment on possible monetary policy implications of the October inflation data, or on expectations for November.
