    C.BANK TO RELEASE WEEKLY FOREX RESERVES DATA 
    The central bank will release regular weekly forex reserves 
data (1300 GMT). 
     
    GOVT SPENDING ENDANGERS EURO ENTRY-MIKLOS 
    Slovakia's strong economic growth will help the government 
meet its 2007 fiscal target, but its higher spending plans may 
boost inflation and endanger its euro adoption plan, a former 
finance minister said on Thursday.

    SLOVAKIA PLANS TO ABOLISH ANTI-CORRUPTION COURT 
    Slovakia's government is looking to abolish institutions set 
up to deal with organised crime and bribery, a draft law showed 
on Thursday, a move diplomats said may dent the fight against 
corruption.

    CROWN ENDS TOUCH STRONGER, SEEN EYEING REGION 
    The Slovak crown closed a touch stronger against the euro in 
thin trade on Thursday, and dealers said it would probably stay 
in a narrow range tracking the neighbouring currencies in the 
coming days.

    POLICE CHECK IF DEAD MAN UKRAINE REPORTER 
    Slovak police are investigating whether the body of a man 
found in mountains five years ago could be murdered Ukrainian 
investigative reporter Georgiy Gongadze.

    NO CHANGE TO DEFICIT PLAN 
    The public finance deficit will remain below 3 percent of 
GDP in 2007 as planned, despite some small changes to spending 
plans by two junior coalition parties, the finance ministry 
said. The two coalition partners of Prime Minister Robert Fico 
have recently pushed through demands increasing spending by 
around 0.1 percent of GDP.

    CAMPAGNARO TO INVEST $11 MLN 
    Italy's Campagnaro Elettrotecnica will invest 300 million 
crown ($10.91 million) to build a new Slovak plant where uit 
wants to produce components for manufacturers of vacuum 
cleaners, washing machines, fridges and freezers Electrolux, 
Emerson and Whirlpool.
