PRAGUE, Nov 27 (Reuters) - Czech President Vaclav Klaus has decided to name right-wing economist Mojmir Hampl to the seven-seat central bank (CNB) interest rate-setting board, a statement from the president's office said on Monday.

The statement said Hampl, and another newcomer Vladimir Tomsik whose name was published on Friday, would be appointed on Tuesday.

Klaus, who has the sole power to pick central bankers without government or parliament having to agree, is replacing both CNB's policymakers -- Michaela Erbenova and Jan Frait -- whose six-year mandates are due to end on Nov. 30.

Hampl, 31, studied the University of Economics in Prague. He worked as an analyst at the central between 1998 and 2002, took scholarship at University of Surrey in 2001 and worked as a senior analyst at Czech savings bank Ceska Sporitelna, a unit of Erste Bank <ERST.VI> between 2002 and 2004.

Hampl served as a spokesman for small right-wing political party ODA in the late 1990s. He was also a member of the management board at state-run bad debt vehicle Consolidation Agency (CKA) between 2004 and spring 2006.

Analysts see Hampl as a right-wing economist. He defended free market in many essays he wrote for think-tank papers and other publications.

He is expected to be pragmatic, have no clear bias, and rely heavily on the central bank's staff inflation forecast.
