GOVT LOSES CONFIDENCE VOTE
The Czech Republic edged closer to early elections on Tuesday after Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek's rightist minority government was toppled in a parliamentary confidence vote.

CABINET MEETING
The cabinets meets in a regular weekly session. News conference is tentatively scheduled for 12 p.m. (1000 GMT).

DIVIDEND PAYMENTS
Dividend payments by 350 of the largest Czech firms increased by more than two thirds from last year's 50 billion crowns to roughly 85 billion crowns ($3.83 billion) this year, according to a survey published by the Cekia agency and quoted by the daily Hospodarske Noviny.
