CABINET MEETING
Cabinet meets in a regular weekly session. It is expected to hand in formal resignation after losing a confidence vote a week ago. News conference is tentatively scheduled for 11:30 a.m. (0930 GMT).
PRESIDENT EYES POLITICAL TALKS
President Vaclav Klaus will begin talks on Thursday with all five parties in the deadlocked parliament, but still plans to wait at least until the end of the month to nominate a new prime minister.

INDUSTRY MINISTER
Industry Minister Martin Riman and European Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs meet to discuss EU Strategic Energy Review. News briefing is called for 4 p.m. (1400 GMT).
FINMIN MULLS WAYS TO HIKE BORROWING
The Finance Ministry prefers medium- and long-term domestic bond issuance over short-term bill refinancing if it opts out of further foreign borrowing this year, a ministry source said.
No firm decision had been taken yet on what steps to take to cover a projected 18.8 billion crown ($840 million) hike in the government's borrowing requirements to meet unplanned payments before the year-end.

NEW DEPUTY FINMIN
Bohdan Hejduk, a budget director at the Czech Finance Ministry, was appointed on Tuesday as Deputy Finance Minister for public budgets.
COURT ORDERS KAPSCH TO HALT CONSTRUCTION
The Brno Regional Court issued ordered Kapsch to immediately halt the construction of a toll collection system in the Czech Republic, writes the daily Hospodarske Noviny. It thus granted the motion filed by Italy's Autostrade <AUTS.MI> against the toll tender, the daily reports.
