PRAGUE, Dec 8 (Reuters) - Czech economic expansion in the third quarter exactly matched the central bank's quarterly forecast updated in October and structure of growth was also broadly in line, the bank said on Friday.
Gross domestic product (GDP) rose 5.8 percent year-on-year, extending a slowdown from the 6.7 percent peak seen at the end of the last year, according to data released earlier on Friday.
Tomas Holub, head of the bank's monetary and statistics deparment, said in a statement that the quarterly GDP increase of 1.4 percent was "slightly" higher than the bank forecast.
