    Slovakia's central bank governor Ivan Sramko said on Friday 
he doubted recent gains for the crown currency would continue 
after a week which saw it hit all-time highs against the euro.

    NOV EU-NORM INFLATION HIGHER THAN EXPECTED 
    Slovak EU-harmonised inflation was higher than expected in 
November, at 3.7 percent year on year after a one year low of 
3.1 percent in October, but analysts said the central bank is 
set to keep interest rates unchanged next week as the crown has 
firmed sharply and the outlook for inflation has improved.

    C.BANK SAYS NOV HCPI IN LINE WITH FCASTS 
    The Slovak central bank (NBS) said on Friday that November 
EU-norm inflation developments were in line with its 
expectations.

    JOBLESS HITS RECORD LOW IN NOVEMBER 
    Slovakia's unemployment rate fell to a record low of 9.12 
percent in November, from 9.27 percent in the previous month, 
data released by the National Labour Office showed on Friday.

    Prime Minister Robert Fico said he did not expect further 
cuts in the income tax rate from the current 19 percent. Fico
