Ceska Rafinerska, the largest Czech crude oil refiner and a venture of oil group Unipetrol , re-opened a unit at its Kralupy refinery on ...

...Wednesday following a turbine repair, Unipetrol said.

Unipetrol said in a statement the fluid catalytic cracker at Kralupy, one of Rafinerska's two refineries, was down for one week, less than the two to three weeks estimated at the time the problem was found.

Unipetrol, owned by Polish refiner PKN Orlen, said it tapped other sources or bought fuel elsewhere to make up for the lost output. It did not yet specify the impact on profits, or how much it was forced to buy from other sources.

Kralupy has capacity of 68,000 barrels per day. The other refinery in Litvinov has capacity of 110,000 barrels per day.

Rafinerska processed 7.1 million tonnes of crude last year. It is a joint venture between Unipetrol, ConocoPhillips , Italian oil company ENI and Royal Dutch Shell .

Unipetrol owns 51 percent in Rafinerska. The foreign partners each own 16.33 percent stakes.
