    ANALYST COMMENTS:
MARIA VALACHYOVA, SENIOR ANALYST, SLOVENSKA SPORITELNA
"It is in line with our forecasts. The number was influenced
by a base effect of the previous year, but it is in line with
the trend.
"We could see such a growth pace in the next few months,
because of auto industry output, but also due to production in
the engineering and electric industries."

    MARKET REACTION:
The crown was slightly weaker after the data,
influenced mainly by a separate release of a wider-than-expected
foreign trade deficit. The unit was at 34.515 to the euro as of
0815 GMT, compared with 34.490 earlier in the session.
