MOSCOW/Polish oil firm PKN Orlen said on Thursday it signed an agreement with trader Petraco to buy 3,360,000 tonnes of oil a year (67,000 barrels per day) from Russia's Rosneft .

PKN Orlen said the five-year contract, which can be extended, would be delivered via the Druzhba pipeline. It said that at current exchange rates the deal was worth around $6 billion.

"It is a standard deal which is a continuation of our previous contracts," PKN Orlen spokesman Dawid Piekarz told Reuters in Warsaw.

PKN's refinery in Plock has an annual production capacity of 13.8 million tonnes. The refinery's design capacity is 17.8 million tonnes which equals around 360,000 barrels per day.

PKN, which controls Czech downstream oil processor Unipetrol , in December completed a $ 2.3 billion takeover of Lithuania's refiner Mazeikiu Nafta .
