    REPO TENDER 
    The central bank will hold its regular two-week liquidity 
draining tender. The central bank has rejected some bids and has 
left the banks with excess crown liquidity for three consecutive 
weeks. 
     
    FINMIN RAISES GDP FORECASTS 
    The Slovak finance ministry has revised upwards its economic 
growth forecasts for 2006 and 2007, the ministry's Web site 
showed on Monday, as the country benefits from rising car 
exports.

    RENAULT CEO SAYS NOT EYEING THIRD PARTNER -PAPER 
    Car makers Renault  and Nissan  are not 
looking for a third partner for their alliance, Chief Executive 
Officer Carlos Ghosn was quoted by the Slovak daily Pravda on 
Monday as saying.

    SLOVAKIA SELLS 12-YR BOND, DEMAND MODERATE 
    Slovakia sold 4.391 billion crowns ($164.3 million) worth of 
12-year, 5.3 percent state bonds on Monday, but demand was 
moderate as investors prefer shorter maturities ahead of the 
country's euro zone entry.

    CROWN AT 2-WK HIGHS, EYES REGION, REPO TENDER 
    The Slovak crown firmed to a two-week high against the euro 
on Monday on the back of brighter mood in emerging markets, and 
dealers said global sentiment would remain its key driver ahead 
of Tuesday's repo tender.

    OPPOSITION SAY NO DEAL WITH HZDS 
    All three centre-right opposition parties, the SDKU of 
ex-Prime Minister Mikulas Dzurinda, the Christian Democrats and 
the ethnic Hungarian Party, said they would not create a ruling 
coalition with Vladimir Meciar's HZDS party.

    The economy ministry is expected to soften the planned 
changes to the country's energy prices regulation framework,

    Swiss car wheels maker Ronal is considering building a new 
plant, worth 2.6 billion crowns ($97.71 million), in the eastern 
town of Trebisov. Ronal officials declined to comment on the

    Slovakia hopes to get a new 400 million crown ($15.03 
million) green-field investment by an unspecified Italian firm
