TABLE-Slovak Jan CPI +1.0 m/m, +3.0 pct y/y

    Slovak consumer prices rose by 1.0 percent 
month-on-month in January, cutting the annual inflation 
rate to 3.0 percent, the Statistics Office said on Friday.

    NOTE. The data were calculated according to Slovak 
methodology. 
    Analysts in a Reuters poll predicted consumer prices to have 
risen by 0.5 percent on the month in January, for an annual 
inflation rate of 2.6 percent. 
    Core inflation was forecast to have risen by 0.6 percent 
month-on-month, and 2.2 percent year-on-year
