NO FLAT TAX

Finance Minister Miroslav Kalousek was quoted as saying in the business daily Hospodarske Noviny (page 3) that the right-of-centre coalition government was not going to introduce a universal flat tax on all income.

He said neither the public nor most politicians wanted such a change. He said the budget situation did not allow such a sweeping tax reform.
