Central Europe's largest power group CEZ wants to invest 20 billion crowns ($927.6 million) over 15 years to build new wind-generated power...

...plants across the Czech Republic, the company said on Tuesday.

In a statement, state-owned CEZ said the investment programme would go ahead if it finds enough suitable projects for wind-propelled power generators.

The plan was part of the Czech Republic's aim to nearly double capacity of renewable power plants to 8 percent of overall energy output by 2010, said CEZ.

The company's total investment in renewable resources, including wind-generated power instalations, would reach 30 billion crowns over 15 years.
