PM BACKS LISBON: Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek gave
backing on Monday to ratification of the European Union's Lisbon
treaty by the end of this year, turning more positive on the
document that has split his ruling party.

GOVT TO DISCUSS CROWN: The Czech government will discuss the
crown's abnormal firming but the there is little it can do about
it, Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek said. The crown's long-term
firming reflects economic growth and will not bring harm,
