Ukraine's energy firm Naftogaz said on Tuesday that Slovakia will be the first European country to receive Russian gas supplies after Moscow and Kiev resumed gas flows halted earlier this month due to a contract row.

The chances of Slovakia selling a foreign-listed eurobond in 2009 are minimal due to unfavourable market conditions and strong demand for its domestic debt issues, the state debt agency said on Tuesday.

The Statistics Office survey showed prices of selected 196 monitored goods and services rose by average 0.5 percent in the beginning of the year, compared with the year-end of 2008. The Office will monitor prices until the end of June.
