BOND AUCTION: The Finance Ministry is offering 8 billion
crowns worth of 5.0/19 bonds <CZ9YT=RR> in a an aution. Bids are
due by 1000 GMT.
GOVERNMENT MEETS: The government meets on legislative
proposals to reduce immunity of parlimentarty deputies from
prosecution and to introduce direct presidential elections.

CEE FX: The forint extended morning gains on Tuesday in a
correction of Monday's losses but Hungary's dispute with

DUKOVANY NUCLEAR PLANT: It is more likely that the Dukovany
nuclear power station owned by CEZ <> will see a life
extension rather than enlargement, Industry and Trade Minister
Martin Kocourek said. CEZ is running a tender to add two units
at its Temelin station and possibly one at Dukovany and two in
Slovakia.

TOP09 LEADS POPULARITY: The fiscally conservative TOP09
party has the potential to win the most votes in municipal and
Senate elections in the autumn, a poll by Factum Invenio showed,
followed by the Social Democrats and the right-of-centre Civic

EVRAZ MULLS FURNACE: Evraz Vitkovice Steel <HK1q.L> is
considering building its own electric furnace to cut dependence
on material from Arcelor Mittal <ISPA.AS>. The two firms have
been locked in a fight over pig iron prices supplied to Evraz's
line in Ostrava, in the eastern Czech Republic.

MINISTER PUSHES FOR RAILWAY COMPETITION: New Transport
Minister Vit Barta is pushing regions to allow private railway
firms to compete with the state-owned Ceske Drahy within three
years, before 9-year contracts with Ceske expire.
