SEPT INDUSTRIAL OUTPUT
The Statistic Office will publish September industrial output data, 0800 GMT. Analysts forecast a 8.5 percent drop on the year, after a 5.7 percent decline seen in August.

Government will hold a special meeting to debate its anti-crisis measures, 1030 GMT.
SLOVAKIA TIGHTENS BORDER WITH FLU-HIT UKRAINE
Slovakia said on Saturday it would close all but one road border crossing with Ukraine on Sunday because of Ukraine's flu epidemic.

SRAMKO URGES SOUND FISCAL POLICIES, REFORMS
Central bank governor, and the ECB's governing council member Ivan Sramko reiterated need for sound fiscal policies and actions to cut the overall public finance deficit to comply with the EU's Growth and Stability Pact, to avoid an excessive public debt.

FICO ON TAXES, STRATEGIC COMPANIES
Prime Minister Robert Fico reiterated there were no plans to alter the tax system. Fico said the state could, if applying the new law on strategic companies in bankruptcy, keep such businesses instead of selling, if decided so.

CAR SALES SLUMP AS CAR SCHEMES OUT
Car sales fell by 36.5 percent on the year in October to 5,979 sold cars, down from 9,412 vehicles in the same period last year, hit from the fading effects of the car-scrapping schemes.

NO FURTHER CO2 DEALS WITH INTERBLUE GROUP
Prime Minister Robert Fico said there will be no further deals with little-known U.S.-based Interblue Group, on the sale of Slovakia's excess CO2 allowances under the Kyoto Protocol.
