Slovakia rejected all bids in an auction of 17-year state bonds on Monday, the first such move since it entered the euro zone in January., and said it may suspend sales of the paper until financial crisis subsides.

SLOVAKIA PREPARED FOR SWINE FLU
Slovak officials have asked citizens to reconsider their travel plans to Mexico and the United States due to swine flu risks. Healthcare Minister Richard Rasi said the country was prepared to handle the illness. Dozens of Slovaks are currently in Mexico on holiday.

Car production in Slovakia could fall by 21 percent this yuear due to global economic downturn, the finance ministry estimates. Some 450,000 vehicles are expected to made in Slovakia, compared with the estimates of more than 620,000 units from before the crisis.
