FINMIN CONFIRMS 2010 FISCAL GAP AT 7.8 PCT/GDP
Slovakia's budget deficit will hit 7.84 percent of gross domestic product (GDP) this year, above its original ceiling of 5.5 percent, due mainly to weaker tax revenue, Finance Minister Ivan Miklos said on Wednesday.

FLAT PRICES SLIGHTLY RISE IN Q3
Prices of flats rose by 1 percent on the quarter in the third quarter, and 1.4 percent on the year, showing its first rise since 2008, the central bank data showed. But analysts said prices should stay low this and next year.

Business environment has improved in the third quarter, the index of business environment showed, rising by 0.39 percent on the quarter to 91.9 points, showing its first rise since July 2006 when the previous leftist cabinet of Prime Minister Robert Fico came to power.
