Germany's RWE <RWEG.DE> and Poland's largest miner Kompania Weglowa are expected to sign a 5 billion zlotys ($2.3 billion) deal for a new coal power plant, daily Puls Biznesu reports.

Poland's grid operator, PSE-Operator, plans 6 billion zlotys in capital expenditures through 2020 to build more than 2,000 kilometres of new power distribution lines, Puls Bizensu writes.

French carmaker Peugeot Citroen <PEUP.PA> could open a plant near Nokia's production unit in the village of Jucu, Ziarul Financiar quotes a local Romananian official as saying. The investment would total 600 million euros and the plant would employ 7,000 people.
ROMANIAN MOTORWAYS CONTRACT
Twelve foreign firms are vying to build the Cernavoda-Constanta motorway in eastern Romania, a project worth roughly 400 million euros, Ziarul Financiar says. The winning bid will be selected within three months.
BUDIMEX
Polish builder Budimex <BMEX.WA> expects its revenue to jump to $1.8 billion by end-2009 -- up a third from last year -- thanks to a bulging order portfolio fuelled by big infrastructure deals, its head tells Reuters. [
