GOVERNMENT MEETING
The government will hold its regular weekly meeting meeting, 0800 GMT.
NO-CONFIDENCE VOTE
The parliament will convene for a special session requested by the opposition to hold a no-confidence vote against Regional Development Minister Igor Stefanov, 1230 GMT.
MUNICIPAL CONVENTION
Prime Minister Robert Fico and President Ivan Gasparovic will address a convention of The Slovak Municipal Association (ZMOS), 1100 GMT.
JOBLESS AT 3-YR HIGH IN APRIL, SEEN HIGHER
Slovakia's unemployment rate rose to a 3-year high in April, data showed on Tuesday, and the job market will worsen further as the economic downturn cuts thousands of jobs in the euro zone's youngest member.

FICO SLAMS SLOTA'S RHETORIC
Prime Minister Robert Fico has criticised his coalition partner Jan Slota, the controversial leader of the rightist Slovak National Party (SNS), for his verbal attack on a female police officer who had refused to let Slota's driver into a parliamentary parking house without a valid permit.

SLOVNAFT'S LOSS
Slovakia's refiner Slovnaft <SNFT.BV>, a unit of Hungary's MOL <MOLB.BU>, reported a 11 million euro net loss in the first quarter, saying the key factors were the slowing economy and Slovaks buying petrol abroad. LEASING VOLUMES FALL
The Slovak Association of Leasing Companies reported a 42.9 percent annual fall in its core business - leasing of cars, trucks or machines - in the first quarter.

TOURSIM DOWNTURN
The tourism industry expects a fall this year from record levels in 2008 both in terms of visitors to Slovakia and Slovaks' trips abroad. The Tourism Association expects around 500,000 Slovaks to travel abroad for holiday this year, down from 630,000 in 2008.
