Slovak inflation accelerated to a 13-month high in January on strong food and utility prices, but analysts said the country should still meet the criterion for adopting the euro.

Seven investors is interested in building and operating a Slovak highway worth at least 21.9 billion crowns ($956.7 million) under a public-private partnership scheme, transport ministry said on Monday.

PENSION CHANGES
The government has approved a draft law designed to speed up return from the private pension scheme into the pay-as-you-go system. The Opposition has criticised the move, saying it would expose people to illegal transfers from the private scheme.
