BANKS' PROFIT DOUBLES
Net profit of Slovakia-based banks jumped by more than 100 percent to 541 million euros ($742.9 million) last year, as economic recovery lifted loans take-up and cut volume of non-performing loans, the central bank data showed.

Czech bank CSOB said had agreed a sale of its Slovak private pension fund, managing around 210 million euro worth of clients' savings, to Slovak Postova Banka. The sale requires an approval of the central bank and the anti-monopoly office.
