POWER PRICES: Electricity prices for households will rise 4.6 percent and 5.2 percent for businesses in 2011, the regulatory office said.

PRAGUE MAYOR: Civic Democrat Bohuslav Svoboda was voted by the city council as Prague mayor after hundreds of protesters had blocked the proceedings for hours.
Protesters were against a coalition agreement between the Civic Democrats and Social Democrats, which cut the winning party TOP09 -- a national government coalition partner of the Civic Democrats -- from an autumn election out of the mayor's position.
