May 13 (Reuters) - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development holds its annual meeting on May 15 and 16 in London and participants will discuss strategies for the bank's next five-year capital resources review, which is being brought forward for approval to 2010, from 2011.

* THE STRUCTURE:
-- The powers of the EBRD are vested in a Board of Governors to which each member appoints a governor, generally the minister of finance.
-- The Board of Governors delegates most powers to the Board of Directors, which is responsible for the EBRD's strategic direction.
-- The President is elected by the Board of Governors and is the legal representative of the EBRD. Under the guidance of the Board of Directors, the President manages the work of the Bank.
-- The chair of governors is rotated annually, with a new chair decided at the meeting. This year the chair is Ireland.
