PRAGUE - The biggest trade union group CMKOS to hold a one-hour strike against government's fiscal, health and pension reforms. Trains and work at some large companies will stop. Non-urgent medical care will be halted for most of Tuesday.

SOCIALISTS LOSE MP: Social Democrat deputy Petr Wolf left the party caucus on the weekend. This is a boost for the government which has just 100 out of the 200 seats in the lower house. Wolf, who will be an independent deputy, supports the government's plan to host a U.S. missile shield base.

PENSION REFORM: The lower house will vote on extending the retirement age to 65 from about 61 on Wednesday. The cabinet will consider a plan on Friday to allow creation of new pension funds that will be allowed to invest into riskier assets.
