Poland's state-controlled bank PKO BP <PKOB.WA> will offer new deposit products including an 18-month deposit with a yield rising gradually to 7 percent as battle for capital between local lenders heats up, Rzeczpospolita reports citing sources.
AGORA
Poland's leading publisher Agora <AGOD.WA> is deadlocked in talks to buy the local news channel Superstacja as the station's current owner wants to maintain the operational control of the company after the deal, Gazeta Prawna reports without giving sources.
TPSA
The European Commission has taken Poland to the European Court of Justice over the local telecom watchdog's attempts to regulate broadband internet prices offered by the country's largest phone company TPSA <TPSA.WA>, Dziennik writes.
PZU
Poland's largest insurer PZU may seek to buy assets of stricken American International Group Inc <AIG.N> in central and eastern Europe, Gazeta Wyborcza reports citing a source close to PZU management.
AVIOANE CRAIOVA
Czech firm AERO Vodochody which is negotiating with Romania a deal to buy a majority stake in aircraft maker Avioane Craiova, will export the biggest part of their output from Romania, daily Business Standard writes.
DAIMLER FINANCIAL SERVICES
Daimler AG's <DAIGn.DE> division of financial services launched operations on the Romanian market through Mercedes Benz Financial Services Romania and plans to contract deals of up to 300 million euros ($435.2 million) in the next five years, Business Standard reports.
PETROLINVEST
Estimates of oil resources at exploration firm Petrolinvest's <PROL.WA> OTG oil field in Kazakhstan were raised by 300 million barrels to 1.27 billion, Petrolinvest said on Thursday. [

Power group Enea aims to raise about $1.3 billion in Poland's largest initial public offering (IPO) this year despite the recent market turmoil that halted other listings, its chief executive said on Thursday. [

Greek telecoms equipment maker Intracom Telecom, part of Russia's Sitronics <SITRIq.L>, has signed a 122.5 million euro ($174 million) contract to supply equipment for Romanian schools, Sitronics said on Thursday. [
