Polish refiners PKN Orlen <PKNA.WA> and Lotos <LTOS.WA> rise 3.2 and 4.2 percent late in the session thanks to lower oil prices, which have a direct effect on the costs of both companies which have only negligible upstream businesses.
The stocks were also helped by a new round of bargain hunting, which also buoyed gas distributor PGNiG <PGNI.WA> (2.3 pct), copper miner KGHM <KGHM.WA> (2.1 pct) and several larger banks, including OTP <OTPB.BU> (4.0 pct) and PKO BP <PKOB.WA> (3.2 pct). Poland's media group Agora <AGOD.WA> dropped another 6 percent on Tuesday ahead of an expected inflow of employee shares which will begin trading later this week.
The stock, also hit by worries over its Internet plans and a slowdown of advertising sales, is down 18 percent since June 27.

Prague shares fall 2.7 percent in early trade while Warsaw reaches new two-year low as central and eastern European markets retreat following the losses on Wall Street sparked by concerns over mortgage providers.

> drops to its lowest level since January at 1,403.5 points, or 2.7 percent down. Warsaw's WIG20 < > falls to 2484.1, lowest since June 2006 and 35 points away from a hitting a 2-1/2 year low.
