TOKYO, Nov 5 (Reuters) - Gold was little changed around $1,090 per ounce on Thursday after soaring to an all-time high the previous day for the second session in a row on a decline in the dollar.
FUNDAMENTALS
* Spot gold <XAU=> was at $1,090.30 per ounce at 0014 GMT, down 0.2 percent from New York's notional close of $1,092.35. It rose as high as $1,097.25 on Wednesday.
* U.S. gold futures for December delivery <GCZ9> were at $1,090.70 an ounce, up 0.3 percent. Futures hit a record high of $1,098.50 on Wednesday.
* The world's largest gold-backed exchange-traded fund, SPDR Gold Trust <GLD>, said its holdings stood at 1,108.399 tonnes as of Nov. 4, unchanged from the previous business day. [
]* The world's largest silver-backed exchange-traded fund, the iShares Silver Trust <SLV>, said its bullion holdings stood at 8,740.15 tonnes as of Nov. 4, down 3.85 tonnes or 0.04 percent from the previous business day. [
]MARKET NEWS
* The dollar fell against most currencies in choppy trading on Wednesday after the Federal Reserve left interest rates steady, as expected, and said it intends to keep rates low for an "extended period". [
]* Oil prices rose 1 percent on Wednesday after government data showed an unexpected decline in U.S. crude inventories, and the Fed said it planned to keep interest rates low.
* U.S. stocks rallied but lost steam on Wednesday after the Fed decision.[
