CEZ: Czech power group CEZ <
> wants to focus more on heating production. CEZ plans to invest a total of 20 billion crowns ($1.18 billion) in the sector in the Czech Republic. It will pay 9.2 billion crowns for both a minority stake in Dalkia, the biggest Czech heat producer, and an 85 percent stake in its unit in the north of the country. It will pay another 15 billion for nearly a 49 percent stake in thermal station Prazska Teplarenska. The deal had been announced in July but details were not disclosed.Hospodarske Noviny, page 1
