LEFTISTS LOSE SUPPORT: Support for the leftist Social Democrats dipped to 28 percent from 34 percent, a poll by CVVM agency showed. The poll showed the result of the May election is wide open. The right-wing and centre-right parties may form a majority, the poll showed. Mlada fronta Dnes, page 2

ARCELORMITTAL: Small shareholders of ArcelorMittal's <ISPA.AS> Czech unit won a complaint against the firm's decision not to pay dividends and instead provide funding to its mother company. The decision cancels the firm's decision on profit distribution but does not order dividend payments.

BONDS BLOCKED IN PARLIAMENT: The leftist parties in parliament blocked a plan to discuss issuance of state bonds to cover the budget deficit. The decision, which can be reversed, does not mean immediate halt in issuance but a lack of approval would narrow the government's room for borrowing in bonds, forcing higher issuance of short-term bills.
