COALITION WOES: The junior coalition partner party Public Affairs is seriously considering leaving the government, the head of its parliament caucus Karolina Peake was quoted as saying. The party would then support a minority Civic Democrats (ODS) and TOP09 government. She said disagreement among the coalition partners over who should lead the interior ministry was the core of the political crisis.

UNICREDIT TO DOUBLE LOCAL BRANCHES: Italy's lender UniCredit <CRDI.MI> plans to double the number of local branches to 120 by the end of the year, UniCredit's CEO Frederico Ghizzoni said. The bank is eyeing acquisitions in central and eastern Europe. In the Czech Republic there is no such opportunity at the moment.
